Honestly, just bought mine a week ago (Costco Black Friday), and the lack of clear knowledge about the differences between V1 and V2 have cast enough doubt that I want to return mine. They don’t want to cause a ‘return frenzy’ for their retailers, not do they want to alienate their customers by telling them essentially that they now own a 1 week old ‘obsolete’ and inferior product. Think about it the absolute last thing they want to happen is if they tell us exactly why the Rev.2 model is ‘better’ or ‘improved’ over the Rev.1, and everyone who just bought one of the now ‘older’ models rushes back to the store and returns them so they can then turn around and buy one of the updated ones.

Regardless, I doubt whether we’ll hear the ‘whole story’ officially from SanDisk. But some could be ‘possible’ because of the new hardware, spurring the interest in knowing the differences in the new Fuze version. These however, may be optional differences written into the firmware rather than required changes due to different hardware. There are features included in the newer version that aren’t there in it’s predecessor. Actually, there are a number of functional differences between the v1 & v2 in the e200 series.
